It is extremely dark,I cant make out whether my eyes are open or closed...I decide to touch and find out...Ouuuchh!Ok I close them now....Though my eyes are closed now,I can c very tiny white particles floating in front of me...
An awkward silence...
Occasional sounds of barking of a stray dog[or perhaps my neighbour's pet dog which happens to be least civilised :X]...
Distant snoring.....mom??dad??aahh perhaps both of them!Or worse....is it me? :O ?Nooooo ! Cant be ! I'm not asleep yet,it cant be me !Phew!!...I say to myself feeling a little less embarrased.
Tick-tick of a wall-clock on the wall right behind my head...
Dip-tip of a tap in the kitchen....the sink?...or is it the wash basin?No,it must be the sink,I finally decide..
In some corner of the room,I can hear "churr-churr" of a polythene.........this rat will have to be taken care of tomorrow morning !
And then....zuuunzuunzuuuuuunzzzzzzzuuuuun.......Damn ! I forgot to plug-in "All-Out" today :(....I think before making sure that each cm of my body is inside the blanket.....safe from that tiny-merciless-annoying-creature who has the guts to puncture my skin and take a sample of blood without MY permission[Imagine!And I thought I wouldnt even let my doctor do that!!]....
Under the blanket I can hear the sound of my own breath,infact I can even feel each molecule of oxygen going in and carbon-di-oxide thrown out...in perfect synchronisation!
I'm too busy noticing this divine rhythm when something vibrates....on the bed......somewhere...Crap !Now,who in the world wants to have an sms-chat at 2 in the night ! I open one eye,cursing under my breath,gathering all strength to move my hand in search for a cell ......which is nowhere to be found now[perhaps I had only imagined the vibration??] & then it vibrates again....Damn it ! Where are you ! It takes me a complete 180 degree turn(during which i nearly fell off the bed)to find the cell near my feet[umm...actually i should say... where "my feet were" before the half revolution]....
I open the Keypad-lock.....2 new messages....hmmmm.....I click on "show"...My cell has decided to slow down again...**yaawwwnn**....The screen is stilll blank.....The folder is still opening....The one open eye has started paining now.I decide to close it as well for a minute and wait for the 'message' to appear on my screen.After the 1-min break,the mystery reveals....The 1st message is one of those stupid friendship messages...and the 2nd one is....."If u dnt fwd d last msg 2 atleast 10 ppl within 5 mins...u'll hv bad luck 4 d next 10 yrs."...Yeah indeed !Grrrrrrr.I feel like throwing away the cell right then,but I dont have enough energy to that.
Finally I hope for some proper sleep now...fearing that my mind may take over(like it usually does) and give me some brilliant(enticing actually) thoughts which it comes up with at the most odd hours.Like it would come to my mind just then that i have a "Dairy Milk" in my jacket's pocket....which i had completely forgotten about the entire day.Or it would come up with a word....whose synonym i just cant think of then.Or i would suddenly remember that i had to forward an e-mail which i didnt.Or i would come up with a very interesting caption to put up on orkut and feel like doing it right then.But Alas !You cant always do things the way you want and at the time you want ..I dont remember when i went off to sleep that night...In the morning I couldnt remember how much of it was my imagination and how much reality.....For some questions you never get an answer i guess !
