A Perennial Issue !

Let me start with a joke I read somewhere someday :
Wife(to Husband) : "What are you doing?"
Husband : "Killing flies."
Wife : "So how many did you kill then?"
Husband : "2 males and 3 females."
Wife(Surprisingly) : "How did you know their gender?"
Husband : "2 of them were glued to the beer bottle and 3 to the phone." :D

Many guys on several occasions have told me that they always wonder about what do females talk for hours and hours on the phone or wherever, whenever they meet, may it be in a wedding,in a doctor's clinic,in a birthday party or even in a funeral.
Today, let me tell you about one of those conversations.Guys needn't be too happy :p,it's no typical-girl-talk and I aint revealing any secrets here :p

In a similar get together a few days back,we were discussing our "experiences". All of us were in a light mood and I knew that though we were making these incidences sound funny, they were actually not, infact they were rather humiliating for us !

Tina and Rita told us about a day they were coming back home from college. They usually tied a cloth to cover their face from dust and sunlight but that day they didn't because the weather was very pleasant. They were enjoying each moment of the ride, the cool breeze, the high speed, the smooth road. They had no idea about what was going to happen next. They were happily moving, laughing and talking to each other.Out of nowhere a red car emerged. At the front of the car was some national party's flag.It had black glasses which were closed so that nobody could peep inside.Just as the car was overtaking them, someone on the back seat lowered the glass.Out came a bottle of water. The guy emptied the entire bottle of ice-cold water right into their face.It took a few seconds for them to actually believe what had just happened .They couldn't see anything, the glass was back in its position now. They could only hear some guys laughing loudly in the car.The cowards in the car fled at top speed after that !

Rouble is a little fat.She has tried everything from dieting to drinking hot water early in the morning to doing yoga and excersising. She told us that about a year back she has decided that she would walk one hour each day.She couldn't do that for more than one week though because of the following incident. She went out for a walk every evening. She didn't notice anything for the first three days.On the fourth day she realised that someone was following her. When she came back, she looked at herself in the mirror. No,she wasn't wearing a very good dress, neither were her hair nicely done nor was she wearing her usual kaajal. She wondered what made the guy follow her.She decided to simply ignore him and take a different route the next day.To her relief,he was nowhere to be seen the next two days.On the seventh day,he was there again on the changed route, following her very closely. She realised that if she stopped or even slowed down,he would actually bump into her.Somehow she came back home and forgot about it in an hour. After all,it happened all the time with her, with her sister, with her friends, with her cousins.Later that day,her dad came home carrying a small piece of paper in his hand, informing that he had found it glued to their front door.He read aloud the content of the chit,it said,"Follower's number : 9898989898"[Original number changed here for obvious reasons.]He looked at her with a lot of questions in his eyes. She didn't know what to say,she simply said,"What!Show me the paper!"He was all the more angry and kept the paper in his pocket. She and her sister were instructed to stay at home from then onwards and not go out alone for anything however important it be.She was just upset. She didn't know who to blame. The guy or her own dad !

One glad May morning,Rupali's mother told her to water the plants on the terrace. She hated to go there though because their next door neighbour(who happened to be twice her age) & whose room was just next to their terrace, kept staring at her.Hoping that he wouldn't be there, she went upstairs. There were beautiful flowers there-Roses of all kinds, shapes and colors. To her surprise and also pleasure there were a few butterflies in that minuscule garden. They gave her a beaming smile instantly. After half an hour when she was descending the stairs, she saw those two eyes on the window again. Also she saw her brother looking at her.She couldn't understand the look in his eyes then. The next day she was filling water in her cooler. The bubbles in the pipe caught her attention. There was a rhythm,a pattern in which they moved. The way they pushed each other, almost chasing the one in front,it looked like even they knew how to play like little kids. She stood there watching the amazing scene. Her brother came out after a few mins and enquired her about her purpose of standing outside in the courtyard.Surprised by his tone, she told him that she was filling the cooler. She was ordered to go inside. She looked at his brother questioningly and followed his gaze.He was looking at the man standing in the balcony looking at them. She went inside without saying anything.Later that day she heard her brother saying to his mom,"What does Rupali think she's doing? If she continues to pose like she does in front of that man,I'm going to slap her the next time."She knew it was useless to explain anything, like everytime,he would never believe, never understand.

There were many more incidences shared that day. Some I don't remember and some I can't share.I wonder what do these sadists get in teasing and troubling females, complete strangers walking their own way on the road. They know they might never see them ever again but still they derive pleasure in passing comments,in just looking at them like they have X-ray machines fit in their eyes ! And ironical still, what makes me sad is when your own family members fail to understand your pain and blame you instead. At the most, our mothers and aunties tell us to just ignore them and move on.It's a request from my side to all the females, don't let this injustice happen to you!Dont just take the blame, dont just stay quiet, the law has given you rights, use them.If someone follows you or says unwanted unasked for things, try scaring them by saying that you've noted down their bike;s number and you are going to give it to the police :D.Trust me it works ;) .They are going to think atleast twice before teasing another female then.Only you can save yourself from mental torture. All the best :)!
P.S. : Names have been changed to avoid controversy but trust me these are real life incidences !
